High Heeled Traders

Found a great article on money and motherhood – which may NOT surprise my mom-friends out there.      Even then, it is good to see this out in the open and I  totally agree with the findings. (My comments called out in Forbes.com just now – how exciting!)

If I may just add – moms also think a lot of the future of the children especially at the arrival of the newborn. Then when the baby grows a little bit and moms are able to see the world outside of baby bottles and nappies  (diapers) once again, we look for ways to make more money. After the first child, the “lag time” to think of income opportunities get shorter. It is possible due to the fact that mothers are more confident of the childcare aspect and more able to take in new challenges (there is definitely no rest for the fiercer sex!).

If only there is  a way to use spending / shopping  translated into earning?  Read on!

Wide up! Shop and Trade !

Some of the things moms take up to earn money:

  1. 1.  Part-time job / freelancing – usually something with “flexible” hours and not a lot of responsibility (like being a cashier) or occupation that is flexible in  nature like giving piano lessons,  language tutorials, telemarketing or  book editting or those that allow telecommuting.
  2. 2.  Selling – network marketing, or buying and selling items.
  3. 3.  Make own product to sell – trinkets, baked goodies, crafts, even books ! (hehehe)
  4. 4.  Trading shares – you know what’s next – not a lot of success in this area – but there’s hope now! See my book!

“High Heeled Traders : Understand Trading with Shopping, Fashion, and Shoes!” about earning an income from trading shares and options written with humor and storytelling style.  This is great for moms who need to study at the same time get some rest with the end result of being “upskilled” and  they can choose how active they want to be when actually doing the business.

May the Fierce be with you!
