High Heeled Traders

Trying Out for Size

April 9, 2012

Last year, I made friends with a saleslady in my favorite shoe store. Her name is Caroline. She is friendly, courteous and helpful. After a few visits, she has gained my respect and trust. Then, I learned that she has been promoted managing 2 stores. I happened to speak to the company executives and I learned that she single-handedly lifted the sales of the store where I go, that’s why she was promoted. I don’t remember her being pushy, or “salesy” oh no, not at all. I do remember that she just invites me to try out any shoes I want for size. That’s the secret to her success. She lets me try out the shoes for size and after I see myself wearing it, magic happens. I can see that it suits me, felt good  (and look so fab!) and she gets her sale.

I’ve been trying to get myself to load up on shares that I’ve been eyeing for a while.  Funny though, I haven’t been able to do it successfully.  Last week, for those who have been following my posts, I planned to execute on the last day of the week but I seem to have unconsciously stopped myself.  Then I realized, I haven’t fully tried out the trade as I have planned it.  I didn’t set my STOP and my PROFIT TARGET (I was too excited, I think I skipped it in the procedure).  So when it came down to the last few minutes of trading, I did not feel good about it,  and that held me back, no trade executed for the day.  I thought anyway, it’s better to have NOT done anything I am not sure of.  So now, I’m mapping out the trade fully.  I have a good feeling for tomorrow already, I’m much more prepared. (Breaking news! The markets fell and breached my support of 14.05 making that aborted trade a good thing!)

How about you? If finally you want to give yourself a chance and discover if investing in stocks fits you, then let me help you with my preview eBook. I wrote it with frank admissions of the wrong things I did (I was badddddddd, made mistakes that you don’t have to make!), the ideas that actually work, (explained with a little help from shopping, fashion and shoes!) For instance,

Fresh Look

> Do you know that current fashion trends reflect what’s going on in the market? It’s true, art imitates life!
> While shopping, if you tend to overspend, (admit it!) or limit yourself too much, you can be sure that will happen too in your trading — you will lose big or limit your profits. Arrrgghhhhh!
> It is like getting dressed up – imagine all that you need to wear and all you need to do to look well-put-together.
(Not easy, not hard – we just do it!)

Many readers also say it is a fun and entertaining read that you can take out to while time away everywhere you go.
